Tulip trees are known to be some of the tallest trees in the northeast, often reaching heights over 150 feet. This slab is made of a big one from New Haven County. Tulips are also known for their rainbow colored heartwood filled with greens, purples, reds and even black. The slabs we have in stock now have quickly become our favorites for this reason. We also hear tulip wood is good for making piano organs.
